It Can't Always Be Pretty...

Sometimes it seems to me that always drawing a pretty person is the easy thing to do.  I know that I usually go for the easy thing and I find sometimes it's a challenge to try to produce something that isn't aesthetically pleasing.  I tried to get away from the usual "pretty" in this doodle and I'm hoping to get a little inspiration from the Otto Dix exhibition that I just went to at the Musee des Beaux - Arts in Montreal.  A lot of his work was not pretty...

Hey Look! I Posted Again!

This a very quick doodle which isn`t based on myself but the sweater is a depiction of one I bought at Smart Set a couple of years ago.  I am trying to get into most posting and you would think that a doodle per day wouldn`t be that difficult but yet it is!  Life just sort of gets in the way.

Hey Look!!! I Posted Something!

I finally posted something after months & months of not posting anything.  This doodle took me about 20 seconds to scratch out at the time.  I wanted to try something different from a girl with a head full of head so I drew a girl with her hair covered

Finger Doodles!

Doodles on my fingernails still count as doodles. I bought a Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen yesterday for the first time and I found it was fairly difficult to work with. Although it dries quickly it seems as if the polish ran out of the pen and onto the nail rather quickly and doesn't apply evenly on the nail. This left spots of my base polish that showed through the pen polish and didn't allow for even application. I couldn't even draw a straight line. Perhaps these things take practice.


At least this nail turned out well. It's on my middle finger so if I try this design again, I'll draw it upside down so I can give the finger with style!

Everybody Hates Clowns!

Obviously this is not something that I drew but it is kind of a Photoshop doodle of a picture I took in a consignment store a few months ago. It was of a horrible painting about eight clowns floating heads and it was just awful!

Oops!!! I Just Doodled!

Yes, after more than an entire year and then some from the time this blog was created, I have doodled. Frankly I thought that I would have done more entries then this meger output but I have found that even doodles can take a lot of time and sadness can sap out any zest for everything you once loved. Enough prose, here is my doodle. Even though I had Lady Gaga, The Venture Bros. Dr. Girlfriend and the Rhino's Nuggets box set in my mind when I drew her, she has a name and a back story. You can ask me if you want to, and you should because it involves a talking monkey....
